A fine wine tasting event was organized by Gordes' agency of Michaël Zingraf Real Estate Christie's Group, specialized in luxury real estate, for its clients and prestigious partners to discover the wines of Domaine Tourbillon. This domain, located in the heart of the Luberon has just built its new contemporary wine cellar. TAX SYSTEM: The law is moving for the non-residents
A great information from the European Union Court of Justice, which ruled on 2015, February 26th on a French controversy : non-residents who own properties in France will not have to pay CSG and CRDS taxes as they do not benefit from the French Social Security. Clearly, Paris considered CSG and CRDS as income taxes while for Brussels these are social contributions. «Now, according to an European Union regulation from 1971, the same taxpayer cannot be subject to two social security systems in two different countries», explains Me Bruno Knadjian, partner at Hogan Lovells (source : le Figaro.fr).
The decision made on 2015, February 26th, should establish case law, and the French Council of State will soon decide in this direction. The main information to retain is the following: capital gains on property of all non-residents, with as well no particular distinction, should now be taxed at only 19%.
